This is one of those simple collections of strange tales that became really popular in the 90s while Sightings and Unsolved Mysteries were big. The stories are told very simply, more just the relaying of facts regarding the information told in the tale, but that doesn't make them any less interesting. Many of the names are changed, so verifying these stories would be difficult, if not impossible; especially in those cases where there is a version of the story in almost every town in America.
The best part of this book, hands down, is the section on monsters. There you can find stories on Bigfoot, the Yeti, Ogopogo, the Loch Ness Monster, and even the Mothman (still one of the strangest monster stories ever told). ( )
