the only qualm i have about this was that it was so short! I also felt like the characters didn't have much time to adjust to each other and just jumped into the whole -we're mates forever- relationship. No problems or fierce antagonists in this plot at all. It was just unexciting to me. (

With Love is about wolf shifters Devlin Johns, an Alpha and Laine Campbell, an Omega. The story is told in third person through alternating povs.

When I looked at the reviews for this story, many of my friends rated it highly, maybe that had something to do with my expectations for it. With Love didn’t quite match up to it. I thought there would be more excitement, more of a plot, but there wasn’t. It was a fast read with the usual wolf shifters finding their mates, then the pack has a bully Alpha and the new Alpha in town has to take over the pack and defend his mate. The fight scene was very anticlimactic, there wasn’t much to it.

The characters were OK, although I couldn’t get into them much and I’m not sure why. They fell kind of flat. Laine was a ginger twink who was clumsy and a bit high-strung. Dev was dark-haired, a strong but gentle Alpha, who owned his own construction business with his friend Cole who was Dev’s Beta.

Like I mentioned previously, there wasn’t much plot and half of the story was sex. I don’t have much to say about the sex scenes; probably because the story felt flat to me I couldn’t get into those scenes either.

The story was well formatted, the only issue happening at the epilogue where it ran into the previous paragraph.

With Love is an average read, nothing new in the way of shifter stories, rather basic in fact. There’s really no angst and is a very fast read. I give it 3 Stars

Dates from most recent re-read. My least favorite of her wolves under either pen name. I like Dev and Lainey, as well as Cole and Caroline, but the tone is so different than the other With or Without books, it'd be better if they weren't shown as a connected universe. Actually the Latin Moon books are also seen as the same universe, and its villains don't show up in the With or Without books -- don't know if that's because of the different publishers, or just how they evolved. Anyway, love the rest of the With or Without books, but just like this one. (

Meh. It was okay. I have always loved the idea of soul mates, but I didn't really care for the execution here. I liked Dev, but Lainey was annoying. He was a klutz, and while it was probably meant to be endearing, it got on my nerves before I even made it halfway through the book. A few instances would've been much better, but not every scene. He was also a little too effeminate for my tastes. I can't really find anything that I did like about him. It was a quick, easy read, that I skimmed through quite a bit, but cliched and predictable. I don't think I'll continue with the series. That said, it seems that many other people did enjoy it, so it could just be me. (
