The father of the Mattigan family makes a living disproving monsters and other made up things. The children were taught to be skeptical. While the father is off finding evidence against aliens, the children are left with a sitter. The sitter allows the children to answer the door and she isn't aware when the youngest disappears. A guy claiming to be their long lost grandfather shows up and she allows him to stay. (Not realistic) Overall, the story is ok. The dialog is good. There is not enough depth to the hunt for bigfoot and he is way to close to home. It says the children play outside all the time and know the area well. How did they miss it before? There is a point when someone should have called the police. There is too much that doesn't make sense. ( )

Just read it to the grandchildren who loved it. Now it's at the library for others to enjoy. Thank you! ( )
