The universe isn't mysteriously in line with mathematics, our mathematical minds are mysteriously in line with the universe. Oh, thanks, I get it now - problem solved. But Steiner is so knowledgable and has such great credentials (studied under Paul Benacceraff) that he's hard to dismiss. I can never make it through all the physics stuff though. The philosophy parts, though a minority of the text, are original and important, if not necessarily conclusive. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
This text analyzes the different ways mathematics is applicable in the physical sciences, and presents a novel thesis - the success of mathematical physics appears to assign the human mind a special place in the cosmos. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
