He is suffering amnesia. "Ram" is a name he plucked from somewhere in his mind. He knows nothing of the past. He wakes in a dark corridor, after seeking refuge in a stairwell in a large housing estate. It is a place where junkies and derelicts live. When he notices the lift doors open, he finds a dying man inside. Bleeding from a stab wound the man beckons to him and manages to get out four words before he dies. Ram now finds himself a fugitive on the run and suspected of murder. With no friends, no memory, being hunted by the police and the murderer, as well as a mysterious " dark man", Ram has to outwit everyone to not only survive but to solve the mystery behind the murder. There is a short time-line, Ram is good - wily, resourceful, intelligent and brave. A good, thriller, fast-paced with lots of different threads running through the story and a good powerful climax. Ram sounds like something that approximates his real name. He has no real memories, and he's woken up beside a nearly dead body. That man is desperately trying to tell him something and then Ram is found with the body it's assumed that he is the murderer. Ram goes on the run and there are several people trying to kill him and help him but how to discover who is who is hard. There's also the mystery of who Ram is and why he woke up beside a nearly dead body, also what the cryptic words of the dying man mean. A light but fun read, full of tension and drama, it's interesting to see how the characters grow due to the stress they're under. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
