First off, I am not a huge Corvette fan and have never owned one, but I do have an interest in automobiles and their history in general.First off, the book is nicely organized with each chapter broken into five sections: Legend and Lore, Body and Interior, Engine and Driveline, Suspension and Brakes, and Number crunching and Press Commentary. Each Chapter covers a specific group of models. The first and last sections were the most interesting for me as a lay reader. The middle three sections were often dealing with numbers of models with a certain type of engine, etc., which generally lost my attention rather quickly. There was quite a bit of trivia which would be useful to take to your Corvette club meetings to stump fellow enthusiasts, but much of it was lost on me. The Facts of the title are simply the paragraphs in the book, each new paragraph is a new "Fact." There are NO colored photos in the book and very few pictures of Corvettes. Most of the pictures are closeups of engine detail, dashboard buttons, tail pipes, etc, to emphasize a "fact." The book would be much improved with color photos of the models being discussed, or some of the variants discussed, but they are not to be found. Cost of course is an issue, but I have seen many similarly priced auto books FILLED with color glossies of cars, so I don't really see the issue. So, not an easy quick read, but interesting for some trivia for Corvette enthusiasts. Deze bespreking is geschreven voor LibraryThing Vroege Recensenten. If you love Corvettes then this is a great book to add to your collection! It reads like short snippet of info but there are chapters to separate important changes that the corvette went through so if you are looking for something specific, it's not too hard to find. Even though I am not a know-it-all when it comes to cars, I have always loved the corvette! Steve writes in a very entertaining style but watch out, you're going to learn some new things too! I recommend this book to all fans of corvettes, no matter what year, and to those who love cars in general and want to know more about corvettes. It's great to read slowly overtime, either front to back or focusing on the reader's favorite model of 'vette. Cartech has done it again with another winner in their 1001 Facts genre.I won this book via LibraryThing. Deze bespreking is geschreven voor LibraryThing Vroege Recensenten. Very fun book! It's not the kind of book you'll want to sit down and read cover to cover, but it's the perfect book to have available for quick dips when you have the time. And it is packed with amazing facts. I imagine even the biggest of Corvette fans will discover surprising things in this book.
This book is choked full of fun facts about the Corvette. I've learned a lot of things about the Corvette, I never knew before. I will be looking for more of Steve Magnante's books. They would be a lot of fun at our game night parties. Steve Magnante's 1001 Corvette Facts is an awesome read. The book provides information for every car lover, Corvette fan or not. I like the way the author presented the information: Legend and Lore, Body and Interior, Engine and Driveline, Suspension and Brakes, and Number Crunching. His presentation showed how the Corvette has changed immensely of the 60 years of production. My favorite Corvettes are the Sting Ray designs. The fact that was most interesting to me was Fact #857 which tells which Corvette was the first to cost $100,000. This is a book you would definitely want to read and have a copy in your automotive library. Onderdeel van de reeks(en)

The details he regularly shares, both in the pages of national magazines and as a contributing host and tech expert at the popular Barrett-Jackson Auctions on television, are the kinds of details that car fanatics love to hear.
