I received a MOBI.file copy of this anthology from the book’s publisher through a giveaway it had on LibraryThing and the following is my honest opinion.

According to Wikipedia there’s a connection between the number “3” and writing:

“The rule of three is a writing principle that suggests that a trio of events or characters is more humorous, satisfying, or effective than other numbers in execution of the story and engaging the reader. The reader or audience of this form of text is also thereby more likely to remember the information conveyed. This is because having three entities combines both brevity and rhythm with having the smallest amount of information to create a pattern. It makes the author or speaker appear knowledgeable while being both simple and catchy.”

I felt the stories in this collection gives its readers a wide-ranging array of dichotomic opposed comparisons, such as: love/hate, intimacy/distance, empathy/coldness; which magic playing an essential part with what’s happening.

This causes these stories to have a decent level and wide spectrum of emotions as one reads them, which is why I’ve given this collection 5 STARS. ( )
