This must be some new kind of record. I borrowed this book because it mentioned a celebrity chef on the back blurb (said chef got about as many lines in the book as on the back cover, oh well), but the book turns out to be a cute, fun read about the life backstage of a reality show. It's fun, fluffy, and well worth spending a haily afternoon or two with. so this is the kind of book that some people love. It's standard chick lit - woman gets dream job and futzes around in it. But it didn't grab me. The funny bits weren't funny and it wasn't interesting enough, though it could have been amazing. If Jennifer Cruisie had written it, it would be a keeper and a half, but I didn't like the main character at all and read 30 pages and started skimming and then stopped even that.
