This is an excellent introduction to determining ones Enneagram type. The book is well-organized and beautifuly laid out. The first chapter sets out the nine Enneagrm types on facing pages with the psycohlogical ego struture appearing on the left-side page and the various associated behavioral patterns shown on the right page. These have simple illustrations and a nice graphic design and these stretch out through the book. The second chapter deals with getting the types right for a person and the pitfalls. The meat of the book is in chapter 3 where each type is compared with each other type. There are questions to ask of each type to discern the difference, even when they seem quite similar. Chapter 4 deals with other factors that might affect proper typing. For instance, a person from France which country has an overall Type 4 character to it, may exhibit more "fourness" then what is really there. The appendices take up the concern of teaching styles, the three centers of intelligence (head, heart, body), wings and arrows, the 27 Enneagram subtypes, and other triads (e.g. optimistic, intensity, and competency). Unlike any other Enneagram book, it contains illuminating illustrations, targeted differentiating questions, color infographics of the 9 Ego structures and more. See what type 4 and 7 do at the park or how type 3 and 6 navigate a maze. A book for those who help others find their type. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
