This book revolves around religion mainly Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. The concept of finding a quantum twin was a creative idea where in you find a person who is a quantum twin of another person to kill him or her. For detailed knowledge go through the book. There are many things that are explained in this book related to the quantum physics and thanks to author for picture representation for those things to make it understand. Giving 3 stars because there are many things which went above my head due to deep discussion related to existence enlightenment and science. overall it was a amazing experience Goodread... 😊 Let us take a bird's eye view of the plot of the book: The Plot: There are two distinct souls who had almost similar tragic past. The life wasn’t started in good terms for them. Though rather than crying for what they didn’t get by birth, they focused on achieving by hard work supported by their talents. The boy became one of the best research analysts in the world of Physics, and the girl’s love for biology brought her to a remarkable position in her field. The boy got a job in a research company which is considered as the best in the world and he had to live in isolation for a remarkable period. The girl had to perform her research for some rare-to-find herbs in the area where due to the security reasons, the permission from the ministry is required. Unknown to them, their area of work will be very near to each other. And so does the circumstance. The Islamic terrorism is rising around the world and some hardliners made the life hell for the many. Europe is on unrest. But, the rest of the world cannot live the life of peace. Prominent figures from all powerful countries around the world started being attacked mysteriously. Who is behind all these tragic incidents and why he/she is doing it? Or is it an organization? And how all these threads are linked together. Views and Reviews: When you read the book, it starts with attacks, murders and tragic incidents. And, this review talks about the rags to reaches stuff and a love story; so you may think that I got it wrong. Actually, no. But, it is one of the best part of the book according to me. I like the way the characters of Vijay and Sujatha are written. The other thing I like in the book is the absence of adult material. Nowadays it is a fashion amongst writers to use cuss words and write at a length about adulteries in order to woo a specific set of readers. The author bravely talks about various religions and terrorism and that too without being controversial, it is an art, indeed. The strong characters of the book makes it an interesting read. And yes, the author tries giving justice to all the characters in the book and the gender of the character doesn’t have any influence on the same. Now, this is called, real gender equality. The book has some printing/writing mistakes, but overall it is a gripping read. I bought it during a book promotion (Kindle EBook), and as the book is costly, you should also do the same :). Rating: Around 8 stars out of 10. Book Review Link: https://thinkerviews.com/books/english-books/keepers-of-kalachakra-by-ashwin-san... Well, This one is a fantastic thriller with lots of characters, multiple individual backstories, simultaneously occurring events in various parts of the world and couple of twists and turns towards the end. There are multiple characters / groups with their specific motives, like, Minerva - an organization eliminating liberal leaders to oppose Islamism, Mafraki and Habib - Terrorists with mindset of Radical Islamism, IG4 - Intelligence group trying to stop terrorists and Minerva, Vijay-Sujatha - Scholars who got messed with evil people (and are leads perfectly suitable for an Indian novel) and of course 'Brahmananda' - you better read this book to know about this mysterious character. First half is packed with quick moving story line and character build-up. Second half on the other hand is pretty much philosophical except for last 15-20 pages. You will find very long discussions between characters about mythology, its effect in modern era, etc. I agree this is important for this story but for someone like me who love fast paced action sequences, its bit boring. This changes in last 15-20 pages which are full with twists. All broken pieces unite together nicely and make amazing impact on reader. Ashwin Sanghi has done a lot of research for this book which is, I would say, must read for all those who are looking for Dan Brown styled mythological thriller. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
Onderdeel van de reeks(en)Bharat Series (5)
A seemingly random selection of heads of state are struck down like flies by unnamed killers who work with the clinical efficiency of butchers. Except that they leave no trace of their methods. Welcome back to the shadowy and addictive world of Ashwin Sanghi. After The Rozabal Line, Chanakya's Chant, The Krishna Key and The Sialkot Saga, Ashwin Sanghi returns at last with another quietly fearsome tale-this time of men who guard the 'Kalachakra' or The Wheel of Time. Sanghi describes a world of people at war with one another-a boomeranging conflict of faiths that results in acts of such slow and planned human cruelty that they defy human imagination. Caught in the midst of this madness is Vijay Sundaram, a geek scientist who is only dimly aware that the wider sky outside his laboratory is stretched taut and close to being torn apart by forces that he wants simply to have nothing to do with. But events conspire to propel Vijay into the labyrinth of Milesian Labs, a centre of research deep in the forested hills of Uttarakhand. What he stumbles upon is a primordial clue to a galactic secret that could accelerate the downward spiral of humankind. Trapped and wholly unaware of his actual foe, Vijay races against time to save humanity-and himself. Zigzagging from Rama's crossing to Lanka to the birth of Buddhism; from the origin of Wahhabism to the Einsteinian gravitational wave-detectors of LIGO; from the charnel-grounds of naked tantric practitioners to the bespoke suits of the Oval Office; and from the rites of Minerva, shrouded in frankincense, to the smoke-darkened ruins of Nalanda, Keepers of the Kalachakra is a journey that will have you gasping for breath-but one that you cannot abandon till all the pieces of the jigsaw come together. Till you come up gobsmack against an end that you simply did not see coming. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |

The major issue I had with this book is the profusion of trivia which overshadows the actual story. Also, the author has tried to tie together too many concepts and storylines, which makes the book too complex and unconvincing.
In short, Keepers of the Kalachakra is bit of a letdown in spite of a nice plot mainly because of the information overload. ( )
