This is one very busy cozy mystery!
Kit and JX are more settled in their life together but JX wants to schedule a honeymoon while Kit is still very wary. JX career is soaring while Kit is in a quandary about his ability and lack of direction. Then a body is found in the yard of Kit's old house, his stalker is out of jail, the old husband wants to try it on again, the assistant he left with has been missing for a year now, and Kit has a whole new set of law enforcement to deal with!
Voice actor Kevin R. Free is perfectly attuned to the main characters and makes a fun read spectacular! ( )

Loved this one.

Of all Lanyon's characters, Kit is my favorite. I understand him on an almost intimate level, so catching up with him and JX in this book was a pleasure. I laughed and cried, I loved that call from Rachel - I admit I cried, so happy for Kit. Any read this one, you won't regret it. ( )

Yeah, well, I knew I wouldn't be able to wait until I was able to buy the audiobook, so the eBook must be :P

Shees! This is yet another fantastic mystery, with lots of things going on, and all the same time: Christopher's ex resurfacing in his life when a body is found buried in the backyard of the house they used to share. And his ex's ex, who is also his former PA, disappeared the same day he went there to ask Christopher for his last paycheck.

If that's not enough, Jerry, the stalker is out... and stalking. Oh, and there also creepy clowns. And J.X. suffers Coulrophobia (I'm SO with you, J.X.!)

But aside the mystery, this book shows Kit at his best. He's still complaining, and a liiiiitle bit neurotic, but he has grown so much! He's such a fantastic character, and I keep falling in love all over again with him.

He and J.X. are in a great place now, there is a wedding in their future, and even Kit knows that it's the right thing to do :P

So, yes, I LOVE this book. So. Much! And having to wait until 2020 for the next one is going to kill me. Although I have all the Adrian English series to go over, so there is that. :P ( )
