Cute story that shows how it is okay to be different than others. Kindness goes along ways and can really change how one another talk to each other. Many of us in society are quick to judge differences without even knowing the person. Frankenstein is so nice to everyone and stay true to himself. This is such a sweet book I would read in my classroom. Very adorable and sentimental. My grandson loved this book. He loved the goo, the burps, the smells and the wonderful bright, gross looking monsters. Poor Frankenstein was teased because he was nice, but the monsters never turned down his help. When he receives a valentine he has to use his powers of deduction to figure out who his secret valentine is. When the other monsters realize that he is still a monster and is worthy of being liked, they realize he is a good guy who helped so many of them and they all become friends. I wish life were that simple, but the message of being nice pays off in the end, and looking for the good in people as well as it is okay to be different are all subtly presented in this story. We had a discussion when we finished reading and I was so happy to see that he got the message as well as loving this bright and colourful story. It might be about Valentine's Day, but could be read any time of year. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
Frankenstein stands out at the Valentine's Day Bash for being less monstrous than the other guests, but to one smelly, rude creature that makes him the perfect valentine. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
