As the title suggests, "The ABC cricket book: the first 60 years" covers the highlights found throughout the 52 editions of the annual, starting in 1934 (World War II meant that eight editions were not published), from reports on how ABC radio would cover the Ashes series in England through "synthetic broadcasts" to bios on some of the great cricketers of our time. Many of the articles are written by (then) current and former players, which add character to the annuals and this book.
A worthwhile read if you can hunt down a copy. ( )
