Lord of Vice Maxwell Gideon part owner of the gambling club, The Cloven Hoof, wants to find out who his silent partner is so that he buy the gentleman out. Miss Bryony Grenville that silent partner, wanting to determine what price to set, visits the club believing it to be empty. A night that changes both their lives.
A well-written good paced fun story with very likeable characters. It can easily be read as a standalone book but I would recommend the whole series if you like Regency romances.

Lord of Vice is an amazing ending to an great series. Erica Ridley always does a great job of portraying strong, independent women but she has outdone herself in the character of Bryony Grenville. Bryony in smart, strong, independent, better at math and investing than at embroidering or flirting. She is a prisoner of society. If she had been a man, she would have been praised and admired for everything she did but as a woman she embarrasses her mother and is scorned for her odd ways. She is out of place in the world she lives in.
Like Bryony, Max Gideon is also out of place. As owner of a gambling hell, he is able to mix with both peers and shopkeepers yet, doesn’t belong in either world. By a stroke of fate, when he needed money to start his club, Bryony (aka Basil) saw the potential and invested in his dream. Little did either of them know that their business partnership would blossom into a personal one.
As the final book in this series, it seems that Ms Ridley has saved the best for last. The connection between these two characters brings smiles and some tears but most of all it brings a well deserved Happily Ever After.

Wonderful sixth book in the Rogues to Riches series. As much as I loved the previous books, this is my favourite.

Two great main characters, lots of witty banter, a cast of wonderful secondary characters including the Grenville siblings, other former Rogues, and there's one character we've all been hoping to see in a scene or two (thanks Erica).

Bryony and Max dance around each other for quite some time, but it's not a boring dance at all. ( )
