EMORY: Will Grayson has always been an animal, though. Reckless, wild, and someone who was never bound by a single rule other than to do exactly what he wanted. There was no way his grandfather was going risk him humiliating the family again. Not that the last time was entirely his fault. He might've enjoyed backing me into corners in high school when no one was looking, so they wouldn't catch on that Mr. Popular actually wanted a piece of that quiet, little nerd he loved to torture so much, but ... He could also be warm. And fierce in keeping me safe. The truth is ... He has a right to hate me. It's all my fault. And I regret nothing. WILL: I never minded being locked up. I learned a long time ago that being treated like an animal gives you permission to act like one. Their only mistake is believing anything I do is an accident. I can sit in this house with no Internet, television, liquor, or girls, but I'll come out of here with something far more frightening to my enemies. A plan. I just didn't expect one of my enemies to come to me. I can smell her hiding in the house. She's here. Blackchurch houses five prisoners. I'm only one of her problems. Contains mature themes.… (meer)

Nightfall is the last book of the devil's night series. It's about the last of the horsemen - Will Grayson, and his high school sweetheart - Emory Scott. The biggest part of the book is situated in the legendary place - Blackchurch, where bad boys, heirs of famous families, are sent when they misbehave. And both of our characters find themselves there.

This was the longest book in the series, but honestly, didn't feel like it. Even tho I enjoyed it, I still consider Killswitch the best one in the series. The writing is amazing, and the plot is interesting, leaving you wanting more.

I always considered Will a sweetheart, someone fragile, and already broken. A bit of a dumbie, really. But this book showed another part of his personality. In the flashbacks he was delicate and tender, his smile brightened the world, and I couldn't get enough of him. But then came the present, and I started considering him boring. He just turned into another copy of the horsemen, someone without a character Every one of them had some trait that made them different; Michael had the power, Kai was smart, and Damon was ruthless, and until this book, I really considered Will thoughtful, tender, and sweet, and even tho he was their weakest member, because of his addictions, he was unique. Now with this book, he lost his true self and turned into a mixture of them all. He acted like all this time he could've been the alpha, like he was the smartest, and wasn't bothered to hurt other people (This was one the most ridiculous ones, cause he always looked so caring) .

Emory - I think she was okay, and probably my second favourite of them all, no one beats queen Erika Fane, she was strong and knew how to fight back, also wasn't scared to do it I really enjoyed how in the first part she was fighting with everyone, who dared to come her way But she was stupid, and Will was right, when he said she should've come to him after his arrest, or at least she should've told him what was happening in her home However, she was a badass, and I'm really happy for the end she got.

Now a special place for my two favourite characters - Damon Torrance and Erika Fane. I mean, someone better steal the royal family's crowns and give them to them, cause these two were the King and the Queen of the series and carried it on their backs. Damon once again proved he was the king and oh, God, that scene in the school with him, Emory, and Will was so goddamn hot. he is, and the best friend of Will Though I'm quite disappointed that they didn't have more scenes. And Erika Fane, I don't know how a person can be so amazing and the wedding she organized was so lovely .

I also have to mention Alex and Aydin. I really loved Alex in the previous books, but this one kinda made me like her just a bit less. I don't think she treated Aydin fair, but I am super happy they ended up together. And Aydin Khadir... Aydin... Aydin. I felt like he was a bit of a paper copy of Damon the snakes, the darkness, his friendship with Will. I really felt like Will needed to have someone darker than him, more ruthless But I enjoyed his character as well. I was so happy he wasn't dead, cause I really was rooting for him and Alex.

I loved the end, and even tho the epilogue finished in cliffhanger, I feel the story complete. I'll miss my boys som much, and my baddass queens, but soon enough I'll return for reread.

I strongly recommend this book to everyone, who likes dark and not so dark romance, and I can't wait to read more from Penelope. ( )

This book wasn't my favorite in the series BUT I love Will and I'm so happy he got his happy ending. There are some plot points that I felt were rushed and didn't make sense but overall I loved it. ( )

Will's story

Will has been missing for a year. The group is concerned. He's missing everything. Emmy wakes up and doesn't know where she is. When she discovers she's been kidnapped to a secluded prison called Blackchurch, she realizes that she's caught in something sinister. She and Will have a volatile history that plays into their maddening attraction though.

Eventually, it all works out with several big scenes of the Devil's Night Crew kicking ass. Things all work out in the end; of course, they do.

Still a cool ass series. Check all trigger and content warnings on your own. 18+. Spice scale: 3

I just finished the whole series and AGHHHH. I LOVED IT!! Every single book was so unique and special in its own way. Each of these love stories was incomparable to the other and that's what I liked about it. The whole family concept shown in the later books was so comforting to read. From Corrupt to Nightfall, I have to say my favorite story from all four of these main couple has to be Damon and Winter. His character development is so well written in Kill Switch and the way the author showed us his true side was so perfect. And I was kind of scared reading from Winter's POV because I've never read events happening from someone who couldn't physically see, but the more I read and noticed how she can detect so much going on, it made me want to read from her side more and more. In this book, as I read WIll and Em's story it was so much more different than the others. Their relationship was more her being dominant than the guy in the relationship and it was interesting to read. Also reading about the abuse that she went through was so heartbreaking. I again loved this series so much and can believe I finished it in 2 weeks! Damn Pen, I love your writing and hope to read The Fall Away series too!! ( )

Epic read

Nightfall is a stellar conclusion to the Devil’s Night series. As always, Penelope Douglas writing is gripping in the best of ways. Agony, betrayal, heartache, love, loyalty, and passion are just several of the qualities which make Nightfall a tale of epic proportions.
