Cha-Cha Chimps is an adorable counting book with a cute surprise at the end. It features very detailed illustrations of baby chimps doing various dances like the conga the tango. Each page also introduces a new animal. At the end, when all the little chimps are asleep, Mama Chimp is the 1 doing the cha-cha-cha. This book proved to be a little too long, making it difficult even for a preschool group. The chant before the cha-cha-cha is strange and most of the children failed to get into it. Not to mention some slight stereotyping when various world dances were mentioned. If shortened, or altered it could be a great storytime addition... P - 2 geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
Counting and dancing go hand in hand at Mambo Jamba's, the place where hippos hokey-pokey and meerkats macarena and ten little chimps do the cha-cha-cha, until Mama Chip says, "Time for bed!" Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
