Wasn't working for me after a few chapters - there are some other Rai books I think will work better for me, I really do enjoy her writing. This had WAY too much sex (ie probably the right amount for the allos out there) and quite a bit of instalove. However, other than that, this had such a great formula! Both of our stars were so nuanced which is so refreshing. They had careers, they had friends (who all had their own personalities), they had backgrounds, they had motivations, they felt like fully developed real human beings. The side characters were all lots of fun and I loved the feminism brought to the table. I can't speak to football, but the CTE was intriguing to learn more about and Samson's passions were more powerful because of how conflicted he was. This was diverse in the best way--it wasn't a big deal that characters were diverse. Seeing girls with goal other than finding love was brilliant. All the issues were so relatable and the commentary on sexting was brilliant. Honestly, I'm not generally inclined to give five stars unless I want to reread a book, but despite the too much sex (and the darn annoying instalove) this is a book that I can entirely get behind. I had no interest in this book at all but so many of my fave writers were raving about it so I gave it a chance. I enjoyed it but didn't get the hype. Is it because of the diverse characters? I did love that about the book, as well as the comeuppance for someone who behaved very badly. I may have enjoyed it more if I hadn't read [b:The Ultimate Pi Day Party|43699955|The Ultimate Pi Day Party (Baldwin Village, #1)|Jackie Lau|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1548378590l/43699955._SY75_.jpg|67998167] and [b:Can't Escape Love|42117382|Can't Escape Love (Reluctant Royals, #2.6)|Alyssa Cole|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1549058656l/42117382._SY75_.jpg|65707737] first, both of which use a similar premise to much better effect. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

The sexy and seemingly sweet hunk woos her one magical night... and disappears. Rhi thought she'd buried her hurt over Samson ghosting her, until he suddenly surfaces months later, still big, still beautifulâ??and in league with a business rival.
