This one reminded me of those suspense stories they played on the radio in the 1940s, only better. Here Underwood provides a fast-paced mystery/adventure that I dare you to put down before reaching the marvelous ending. It indeed begins with a jilted traveler on a lonely road during a stormy night, making his way toward a new future. But with Underwood at the wheel, we soon learn that nothing may be quite as it seems. Like Robert Nathan and the other great romantic mystery writers that came before him, Bobby Underwood can spin a tale with the best of them, using the barest number of perfectly chosen words. “Endless Night” is one of those stories that you can hold on to for years to come. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

I don’t want to give too much away with this short story. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the mysterious storyline, the warm characters, the 1930’s-1940’s references. Another lovely read by Bobby Underwood! (
