This is an informational book about different countries in Europe. Its main purpose is to provide some basic and interesting information about the countries. I really like learning about other countries, and I hope to travel to Europe some day, so I found this book really interesting. One thing I really liked about this book was the layout. The book had several pages for each country, when a new country was introduced in some way there was always a small picture of the country's flag. For example, on France’s first page the title read “Country of Castles, Wine, and History,” and right before the text began there was a small picture of the blue, white, and yellow flag. A second thing that I really liked about this book was that each country also had a “Search Light” box at the bottom of one of its pages. The “Search Light” told the reader to correct the error in the sentence. For example, on Germany’s page the “Search Light” read “Find and correct the error in the following sentence: The Berlin Wall was torn down in 1989, and the two parts of Germany became two countries again.” The information about the wall is the next page, and the answer to the question is written in very small text and flipped upside down. I liked the "searchlight box" because I think that it gave you an idea of what you want to look for while reading and also ensured that you were paying attention to what you read.
