I hate this book stylistically. There are some weird sentence indentations and some pages suffer, once again, from too many words on a page.

However, I loved the representation of a mixed race family. I do not see that often in picture books and I think it needs to be there more often! I "appreciated" the stereotypes (how someone assumed the dark skinned mother was the babysitter for instance) because it shows just how wrong people can be! ( )
