This is a classic folktale that goes way back in years. I like this book for its realistic fiction and how great of a moral this story has. The town mouse and the country befriend each other by comparing their living and eating arrangements. The country mouse is content living where he does soundly while the town mouse is constantly in fear for his life (cats and dogs). We can teach our students that it is okay to be content with what you have and to never compare yourself to others just because someone is more materialistic and they seem happy does not mean they are actually happy. Overall, this is a great classic folktale. ( )

k-3, This story just teaches the valuable lesson of not wondering how other people's lives are because you cant walk in their shoes. Everyone journey is different so staying focus in your own journey will be the key factor. ( )
