*spoiler warning!*

An interesting plot, with some nice twists, but not one of the best. I liked that, for a change, the crime/plot focused on animals and nature instead of murder/robbery/etc. It seemed like the fights between Nancy and Ned were a little forced, though... It just seemed so out of character for Ned, who has always been so understanding about Nancy's methods and knows it'd be irresponsible of her to write someone off the suspect list just because Ned wants her to.

I was definitely surprised by who the Turkowers turned out to be, but the culprit wasn't that big of a surprise. As I noticed a long time ago with this series, look at the list of suspects on the first page. If one of them hasn't been suspected/noticed by mid-way through the book, it's most likely him. ( )
