I LOVED IT=) ALL THE POETRY AND WORDS OF INSPIRATION IS DEFINITELY A KEEPSAKE. ( ) “No body's perfect: stories by teens about body image, self-acceptance, and the search for identity” is an inspirational self-help book for confused teenage girls, written by the best-selling co-author of “CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE TEENAGE SOUL Body image, self acceptance” Kimberly Kirberger. The book presents a collection of very powerful essays, stories and poems written by real teenagers, who once struggled with the body image issues, and low self-esteem, but with time learned to overcome their difficulties and insecurities and became happier people. The author organizes the book by suggesting that the 24-steps are used to introduce each chapter. What makes the book so powerful is the fact that each chapter is accompanied not only by the author’s advice, but also the real life example essays and poems from the teens, who just like the readers, had to deal with the issues of peer pressure, body image, depression, etc. I would highly recommend this book to any MS or HS girl, who is struggling with self esteem issues, which is almost every other girl on campus. It will give the insecure and lost teenage girls a chance to face their problems through the experiences of others and will teach them a few coping techniques to help them through the hard times. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
