The scariest thing about this story is that in reality this kind of thing actually exists. 16 years have passed, and Georgina's death still haunts Kate night and day. Solving this one might just require a magician before time runs out. Blair Howard’s Georgina is a haunting tale of cases unsolved. Telling the tale of a teenager’s murder, the beliefs that follow certain events, the lengths people will go to, and the ticking of the proverbial clock to close a case. A lot of questions, still remain. The Red Moon, that occurred at that time, is about to happen again. Most of the young people, who were friends, with the murdered girl, are still around. Secrets are revealed in only the way, that Kate can manage. It's a read that you will want to finish in one long sitting. ( ) Twenty years ago when Kate was a rookie working with Harry Starke she investigated the murder of a sixteen year old girl. It was in September on the night of the Blood Moon when a group of 5 teenagers went into the woods but only 4 came out. Since they were only 16, the police had to talk to them with their parents present. The case was never solved and Kate always felt one or more of the teens was lying. Now they are in their thirties so she decides to try again. We meet a new member of her team. Jack North has been in trouble before and has been sent to Kate's team as a last chance. This book is a quick read because it keeps you on the edge of your seat. Blair Howard's characters are always well developed and these are no exception. I was not able to pick out the murderer or the reason for the murder. Another great Kate Gazzara novel and another win for Blair Howard. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
