Definitely recommend.
I have worked with kids’ who were abused but never autistic kids, so this book was educational for me. I wouldn’t know autism from a child who might be extremely shy. This is an easy twelve-page children’s book to read.
Seven-year-old Harper meets Emma at the swimming pool. Harper notices Emma doesn’t speak. Instead of feeling discouraged Harper looks for a way to communicate with Emma. She talks to her mommy who encourages her to learn how to communicate with Emma and supports Harper’s idea to play with Emma. Harper is happy she has a new friend and teaches her other friends how to communicate and play with Emma.
I love the characters Harper and her mommy. Harper had no fear or any hesitation because Emma couldn’t speak. This is an excellent book to use for teaching children how to include someone who is different no matter the difference.
I recommend this book to parents who have school age kids and to anyone who works with kids. This book will be easy for children to understand. The artwork is awesome. ( )

An autism diagnosis for your child is devastating. In the beginning, you can’t help but see all the things your child isn’t able to do and you can’t help but wonder if there will be any normal kids things they will be able to learn to do. Children at one end of the spectrum are perceived as incapable because communication is a factor. On the other end, children are perceived as not being disabled at all, because they seem too normal. This book and the series to come, I think, will helpful for anyone who finds themselves dealing with autism. Parents will able to see that there is a type of normalcy out there for their little ones. Kids with autism will able to see themselves in a character that is fully able and maybe a little like them. Friends of these kids will be able to see that a little bit of creative thinking, means there is no end to the fun they can enjoy together.

I loved that this book showcases just how inclusive children can be. Harper doesn’t see Emma as wrong, just as someone who does things differently. Friendship is universal and has a language of its own. The other thing that really sticks with me from this book is the idea that autism is not all a child is. Emma has trouble communicating and understanding certain concepts, however, she is able to read and write well enough to be understood. She and Harper are able to use these strengths to do all the fun things they want and are able to include many friends in their adventures.

This book reads like a social story, a concept that has been shown to work well with demonstrating to children how to navigate real-life situations. From my personal perspective, I am grateful there are so many great tools out there, like this book. It hasn’t always been that way and it can be so overwhelming and lonely when you think you are dealing with something of this magnitude alone. I am looking forward to new books in the series. ( )

Let's Talk is about a story of a girl that meets a new girl that has Autism. So this book is about Autism and friendship. It is a sweet story; I enjoyed it. Though I have Autism Spectrum Disorder, it is a disability. Many people have it, and each person is on a different spectrum. Some are on the high end, some are somewhere in the middle, and some are on the lower side.

We may look standoffish or even act strangely or act differently than usual. I have Autism and am on the high end of the spectrum. Though I was different from my cousins when growing up and acted differently than them. I still do.

Autism is something we all need to learn and understand and accept, as it is still hard to see or understand. This book helps in a way or at least spotlights on the communication part of Autism. I can relate to this book, and I know quite a few people with Autism. We all act differently and our interests. I get along with them all.

This book hit Autism on one aspect but shows that we can enjoy some fun and form friendships even though we are different. Will they last well? That depends on the friends who want to understand and do not mind our quirks and the way we commute.

This book shows how a girl learns about Autism and understands and communicates with another little girl named Emma. The pictures are down well. It an excellent book to have on any child's bookshelf; It will teach parents and children or introduce them to Autism or Autism Spectrum Disorder. The story is down well and sweet. I cannot wait to see what these girls do on their adventures. ( )

“Let’s Talk “written by Lisa is a very informative story about a girl (Autism) and her friendship. It is filled with kids’ innocence, their love for different activities and friendship. Am really thankful to the writer for bringing out the issue of Autism through her book.
