Erg leuke novelle waar ik echt van heb genoten. Zinnia heeft een ernstige ziekte en zal niet veel ouder worden dan 21. Op die bewuste verjaardag geeft haar vriendin Charm een feestje voor haar met een 'Sleeping Beauty' thema waar Zinnia zich per ongeluk prikt aan het aanwezige spinnenwiel. Zinnia vindt zichzelf terug in een andere wereld en maakt kennis met een 'andere' versie van Sleeping Beauty. Zinnia moet zorgen dat zij en Primrose hun vloek ontlopen en dat ze weer kan terugkeren naar haar eigen wereld. ( )

I wish briefly but passionately that I'd been zapped into a different storyline, maybe one of those '90s girl power fairy tale retellings with a rebellious princess who wears trousers and hates sewing. (I know they promoted a reductive vision of women's agency that privileged traditionally male-coded forms of power, but let's not preten that girls with swords don't get shit done.)
