This contemporary romance is a complete opposites attract. Lucy is a ‘city girl’ hired to help the Wilder business. Gabe is the opposite, naturally, as the Wilder’s own an outdoor adventure business. As the two get to know each other better, walls begin to break and feelings start.
I really enjoyed the character development from both of the main characters. Lucy is cast as a city girl that won’t be able to handle the wilderness. Lucy surprises Gabe when she shows her resilience and takes her adventure in stride and with wit. Gabe is closed off to the idea of any type of romance to a city girl but soon learns that she is much more than that and he may have misjudged.
Make Me Wilder is a quick read and has wonderful pacing. The story has the perfect amount of tension and wit that kept me from putting it down. It is a dual perspective which I enjoy. It is also the first in the Wilder Adventures and I can only hope that we get to see more of the Wilder family brothers. I would recommend this to any contemporary romance reader.
