Eighth in the Destroyer series. This one is pretty forgettable. Though I read the book a mere month ago, I had to pick it up and remind myself of what even happened in the book. The plot involves an international criminal mastermind calling a summit of the world's top criminal leaders in order to tell them that he is setting up a African nation to be a sanctuary for criminal enterprises. (Kinda like what the Seychelles and a few other Third World island get-aways have done.) Along the way, Remo gets amnesia and thinks he's a hitman who works for the criminal mastermind. It's a decent enough premise, but just kind of bland. I was hoping for more. It's not bad, but it's not great or particularly memorable, unfortunately. Review copyright 2008 J.
