This simply but well-written mini biography tells the story of a girl born at a time when it was much harder to do the things we take for granted today. She overcame gender and height prejudices to achieve her dream of making a difference in gender politics by becoming a particular kind of lawyer and rising to the Supreme Court of the US. Her *Can Do* attitude is a beacon to girls and women everywhere. The illustrations by Judit Orosz are eye-catching and very well done. The language of the text is suitable for reading to young people and excellent for ESL. I requested and received a free temporary ebook copy from Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books via NetGalley. Thank you! geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
