Sometimes When I’m Mad by Deborah Serani is a really cute fantastic book that teaches children what to do and how to change their feelings when they are feeling mad. One of the things papa tells is little girl to do when she feels mad is to lay down for a while, and she does, and it makes her feel better. There are many more examples in the book and with the help of her mom, grandma, grandpa and teacher, this little girl gets help that makes her feel better.
I think this book is good for any child at any age. Everyone feels mad at times, and the valuable lessons in the book can be helpful for anyone. Serani dies a fabulous job writing this book, teaching lessons that are so valuable to learn. The sweet and beautiful illustrations by Kyra Teis brings this story to life on the pages as each page fits perfectly together. I love that the colors fit so well with the mood of each page in this book. I really adore this hardcover book and I encourage you to pick up this book for your child. I feel this will also go very well in elementary school library as well as daycare libraries. This is definitely one you want your child to have. I’m giving this one Five Stars!
