Cowboy Homecoming #2
Another magical story – this time with a spinning wheel that draws the heroine and the hero in and then to one another…but…can that really happen?
What I liked:
* Javier “Javi” Lopez: mechanic, artist, businessman, brother, mentor, custom automotive designer, sheep owner, workaholic, all around nice guy with no time for a woman…probably
* Lucrezia “Lulu” Crivelli: one of four sisters, vegetarian, attractive, bad luck with men, wears a mask, avoids conflict, hard worker, unsettled and unwilling to settle down in Cabrillo…she thinks
* That neither Javi nor Lulu are in the market for a relationship though the chemistry between them is fierce
* The tie-in of magic in this series and the type of magic that occurred in this story
* The way priorities were looked at and evaluated – work, family, etc – and how they are sometimes skewed
* Seeing Pilar and Benedict from the past and how they are doing
* The sheep and dogs and debates about what animals might be better than the others
* Being intrigued enough about spinning to watch a few YouTube videos on the subject
* Seeing Pippa and Bear and finding out how they are doing
* Getting a bit more information about the other two Crivelli sisters, Con and Allie, and wondering who they will end up with
* That the romance was between real people with real jobs, troubles, and expectations and that they were able to find love without a bundle of money
* Finding out that Ansel and Lark will be up next to have their romance shared
* That I felt good at the end of the story
What I didn’t like:
* I liked it all…the only thing I felt at times was that I was listening to the thoughts of Lulu and Javi more than really experiencing their lives…more thinking than doing.
Did I like this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Yes
