Ellison and Anarchy have just returned from their honeymoon and for once, Ellison doesn't find the body. When Mother Frances is rear-ended and hospitalized, Ellison does step in to try to find out why someone would kill a matriarch of a family and country club regular. The relationships in these books have grown over the series, Ellison's friends, family and dogs--it's as much fun to catch up with them as it is to try to solve another 70s era mystery. This continues to be such a great series. ( ) Ellison has returned from her honeymoon in Italy looking forward to a peaceful summer with her new husband, however, things aren't going according to plans. As soon as awakens and she attempts to get her first cup of coffee (Ellison has an ongoing affair with Mr. Coffee) she is bombarded by unexpected situations - Mr. Coffee has given her COLD coffee (how dare he!), Aggie, her housekeeper, is nowhere to be seen, the dog is giving out noxious GAS Bombs, and by far the worst, Prudence Davies, a woman who had an affair with her first husband, is begging for help. As usual, Ellison is caught in the middle of a murder investigation but does she really want to help Prudence. When her mother is a casualty, Ellison knows she has to step in and find the killer. This is one of the few series that I HAVE to read as soon as the newest book comes out. I only wish that they would arrive faster! geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
