Did you know that being in a prolonged state of tension may lead to panic attacks and seizures? This is the extreme end of stress and anxiety (burnout), and you do not want to find yourself there. Whether you are getting agitated when things don't go according to plan, staying angry with someone who upsets you, or panicking about everything you did or did not do during the day, you are putting your physical and mental health at risk. Furthermore, it could affect your relationships without you realizing it. I wrote my book to help sufferers of burnout get relief. This book is well-researched, includes processes, highlights personal stories, and brings in humor to lighten the moment. Since the pandemic, burnout has increased and will continue to do so with more people working from home. Some people are better able to cope in stressful situations, while others aren't. The good news is that anyone can learn and apply strategies to overcome burnout. The trick is to put the processes into practice, again and again. My book is written with this in mind. Enjoy!… (meer)

If you think that you are suffering from "burnout" whether it be from work, a relationship, or parenting; this book will help. Even if you're not felling stressed or overwhelmed, this book can help to avoid or lessen the effects.
It describes the cause, symptoms, and resolutions to stress. Simple remedies such as better sleep, eating properly, meditation, and communication.
My stress mostly comes from taking care of a handicapped family member. I will try to implement these solutions to reduce the stress and anger I feel at times with him. ( )

Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Having suffered badly from burnout from a multitude of fronts, I was interested to see what this book had to offer in terms of remedy.

This book is less about breaking through burnout and more about psychology and the factors that contribute to burnout. I will avoid my reservations about mindfulness and the implicit assumption that you should change rather than your circumstances, but I didn’t see much in this to help me through burnout, nor anyone else.

If you are starting to wonder whether you might be burnt out, or whether you might be approaching that stage, this might be for you. It’s accessible and reads like a long blog post. If, however, you are currently the emotional equivalent of dying campfire on an abandoned beach during a rainstorm, this book will probably irritate you. ( )
