Excellent stories from police and what they endure for our protection. (

This is a collection of memories collected from American police officers about incidents they experienced on the job. Some are funny but many are terrifying and in some cases gruesome. After reading what some officers experience, one can understand why they quite the job or commit suicide. A positive note here is that many police forces are recognizing the stress officers are under and the upsetting things they see and as a result are encouraging them to seek counseling or some other recognized therapy to help them handle the pressure of unusual events. The crimes against children are especially stressful to men and women officers.

Real stories from the men and women who wear the blue uniform or work plain clothes. These are brief stories of actual police incidents. Some of these stories I would have liked to have seen more of. Some make me ask what happened next. This is a quick read. (
