Can I just say what a little spitfire Deke is? He instantly knew that he wanted Marshall from the get-go and was going to do whatever it took to make Marshall realize it. Deke is a v!rg!n and hasn't ever experienced a k!nk relationship before. When he helps Marshall with the pet show fundraiser, he finds out that kitten play may be what will convince Marshall to really see him in a new light.

Marshall can't resist Deke and has to come to terms with the fact that Deke isn't as innocent as he once thought. He also has to learn to trust his heart and know that Deke is in it for the long run.

There were many funny moments sprinkled throughout that made me laugh and gave the story a lighter feel. I've read all of Chara's books (with the tab00 ones being my favorites) so this was definitely a delight to read.

I do not usually rate the sweet stories at a 5/5 as they do not have the depth of detail or grab my interest strongly - but this one did.
Daddy’s New Kitten by Chara Croft hit all the highs and none of the lows. I adored the characters, the created context, the plot, and the ending. First, the characters - who the author obviously created with love and care – are well-developed and interesting individuals. The context o the story is so beautifully detailed and filled in, that not once did I have to pause and ask myself “Why would that happen?” Croft has crafted a plot line that builds tension and adds twists when needed while pulling the reader through to the end which is not only satisfying but sumptuous.
Daddy’s New Kitten is written so smoothly that even the super sweet moments were not sticky. I have to admit I have not laughed so much while reading in quite a while. The sweet naivety of Deke and his hilarious thought process just made my day. This was a page-turner that forced me to read straight through. I could not wait to see what would come next. Now I am going to have to explore this author who is new to me. ( )
