Magic Unicorn Crossing was about a family who came to Seattle for a vacation. They were staying with a lady named Mrs. Donovan. They were staying in a little cottage and had plans to go horseback riding and row boating. Jenny is the main character who see's the sign "Unicorn Crossing" on her way into the cottage. From then on she believed that there must be unicorns on the island. She quickly learns that Mrs. Donovan is really interested in unicorns too. Jenny see's all of Mrs. Donovans statues of unicorns and a blurry photograph of perhaps a real unicorn. Jenny keeps being decieved and thinks she see's unicorns but it just ends up being a pony or a dog. Mrs. Donovan tells Jenny that the only way she'll see one is if she believes and that her sister Monica wasn't likely to see a unicorn. A quote from the book that appeared many times was "Don't look to hard for the unicorns" Jenny meets a lady named Mary Morgan who has the dog that looked like the unicorn. She was also told by Mrs. Donovan to not look to hard for unicorns. By the end of the book, Jenny wonders why roses are real and unicorns aren't. She's beginning to be skeptical about the unicorns until Mrs. Donovan wakes up Jenny early in the morning to begin to pick rose pedals. As they picked the pedals, they began to see a whole group of unicorns. They were brilliant, white, and they glowed in the sun. When Jenny blinks, the unicorns are gone. She begins to wonder if they'll come back and if that was real. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
