A really short easy read. It had an intriguing premise and I thought it was interesting how the author created a world where woman were the ones with power and men were meant to not be heard or seen. I think this could be good for someone that might want to read fantasy but not have to deal with the length commonly seen in fantasy novels. Thank you to S.D. Received as part of LT Early Reviewers. This was a an interesting read with a twist at the end (def cliffhanger for book 2). It's somewhat of a Little Mermaid story in an alternate world. The young Pirate come to steal a treasure in hopes of curing herself from an affliction caused by a curse - by none other than "Ursula"??? the Sea witch. The young Prince attracted to the pirate -whose life is linked to the treasure. Has some chapters that make you go "HUH?" but overall very good and you engaged.

Well the first half of this book held me pretty captive. It was fast paced and I liked the building tension between the main characters. And then we got to the sea witch cavern and the book completely lost me. I think this is probably a set up for a new series since we got no real answers or conclusion to the story. But safe to say I will probably not be continuing just to try and figure out what the “fluff” is going on. (

A fantastic quick read!! A pirate attempting to steal a magic artifact to heal her curse, a half human half fae prince set on stopping her. Not only will the Sun Stone help cure her, it will also reveal truths and lies of the holder.

Loved the dual POV in this one! The easy romance wasn’t over the top, and believable on how they fell into each other!

Enjoyed the magic system, the elemental aspect is easy to understand, if the book were longer would love slight elaboration.

I have not read other works by this author, but thoroughly enjoyed my short time in this world.

Definitely Little Mermaid vibes with a twist! I am not a big princess retelling reader but I enjoyed this book! I am really hoping for a sequel! (
