Review:
This book follows Thomas the train while he goes about a typical day. We visit all his friends who are hidden by different objects. In order to see who was behind the flap, the reader needs to open it.
This book is fantasy because trains cannot talk! This book following Thomas the Train depicts trains in a simple manner. Rather than showing a complicated drawing with a driver and all the mechanics of the train the train is one single object and can talk taking on human words to express his troubles and thoughts.
Use:
1) This is a very good intro into trains and other vehicles and what they do
2) Children can interact with the book by opening the flaps, engaging the readers, and spiking their interests
