"Hands of the Maya: Villagers at Work and Play" is a book that gives the readers a day in the life on Maya villagers. The villagers are all skilled with their hands, they cook, weave clothing, build, draw, and play instruments. I loved the illustrations of this story. There are real photographs of Maya villagers at work. At the end of this book, there is a glossary since the book has words that are unfamiliar to the readers. For example, "masa" is a wet, softened ground corn used as dough. Overall, this was an interesting read that is for people of any age who want to learn about a different culture.
