She built it a home and watched it grow. It went from a caterpillar to a cocoon to a butterfly, only to hatch its own eggs. Thoughts and Feelings: I love how careful Arabella was to give the caterpillar everything it needed. Animals are very fragile. I accidentally killed a fish once by overfeeding it. Genre: Realistic Fiction Age Appropriateness: Primary Media: pencil with paper collage Plot: This a good example of person against nature. Arabella wanted and loved this caterpillar, but what she learns is the caterpillar is only suppose be hers for a short time, but then it is suppose to turn into a beautiful butterfly with wings and fly off to find its own way, just like Arabella. Review: This is a good example of realist fiction because Arabella loved her caterpillar. She was good at taking care it and making sure it had a good place to live. Children love to have pets so almost any child could put themselves in the shoes of Arabella and her adventures with her caterpillar and how it turns into a beautiful butterfly. She misses her friend, but realizes her friend has changed. She is able to say goodbye because she knows a butterfly needs to spread its wings and fly. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
