This is a short book about moving into a new neighborhood and looking for new friends. I felt like it didn't express very much emotion about how it felt to not know anyone. But it did show that even when the neighborhood kids did not want to let Freddy play with them, he didn't just go home, he stayed and played by himself. This could be expressed as self confidence. But again, no emotion was expressed in the story. This would just be a good book for a beginning reader, not very good as a teachable theme.

“Who Will Be My Friend?” was written by Syd Hoff. It’s about Freddy finding a friend because he changed his house! I think this book is good and fun, because Freddy is fun. I like when Freddy meets new friends. I think everyone should read this book because they can learn how to make a new friend.
