This is one of those Pooh books I find more interesting for cataloging reasons. This is a Random House Pictureback sub-series called "Oh, Bother!" that is easily confused with the "Disney's Winnie the Pooh Helping Hands Book" series from Golden Books that has books with titles that all begin "Oh, Bother!" And the two books from this new "Oh, Bother!" series that I have are both recycled from books in the "Lessons from the Hundred-Acre Wood" series. This Oh, Bother! Someone Didn't Say Thank You, for instance, is by the same author and artist as Just Say "Thank You" but while the art is exactly the same with a few omissions and crops, the text has been revised with extra sentences and word choice edits throughout. Oh, Disney, you have tricked me into basically buying the same book twice, just like your live-action remakes of animated movies! Naughty mouse!
(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here:
