SUMMARY: A book detailing the practices and history of Cinco de Mayo. REVIEW: This is a very informative book. The story follows the life of a girl named Rosie and her family, detailing the traditions and customs of Cinco de Mayo along the way. Colorful photographs of family activities and delicious food are strewn throughout the book, and each picture has a little description under it so that the reader can understand how the picture relates to the main story. The back of the book contains a glossary of Spanish words, which includes words such as "abuelita (grandma), charro (cowboy)," and "frijoles (beans). I think that children will enjoy the colorful pictures and the easy-to-follow formatting of the book itself. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
