Pecos Bill is larger than life through his exploits, which include being raised by coyotes and using a rattlesnake as a lasso. I think that this book would be perfect for younger students in introducing them to the world of folklore and the many "crazy" things that can happen in these stories. Tall tale for early readers (filed with beginning facts at the library) telling the story of Pecos Bill. The book covers his larger than life exploits in a manner easily read by kids that have just got the hang of reading. The illustrations have that thick oil paint look and color (the reds and blues in particular) of "cowboy art" that I've seen at the Gilcrease (Tulsa). geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
