It seems that holidays often revolve around light, and this book discusses exactly that. It gives an introduction that tells what different cultures use the light for when they celebrate certain holidays. This would be a great book to use throughout the school year with elementary school students because it includes short descriptions of celebrations of light in different countries for each month of the year. This will give students an idea of how these holidays all relate, and how people celebrate for similar reasons, even if the name and time the holiday is celebrated is different. The illustrations are bright and inviting so students will be intrigued by the book when they are reading it. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
