This book is very easy to follow for a beginning reader. It includes five short stories, each only being a few pages in length. The book is set up so that the writing is on the left page and the illustrations are on the right page. The illustrations are also bright and engaging to the reader. Each of the stories has a lesson that can be learned from the actions/discourse between George and Martha. I especially enjoyed this aspect of the book.

George and Martha is a book that has many stories and tries to get across the mini ideas about being who you are. I had mixed feelings about the book, not really enjoying it but not hating it as well. One of the points I liked was the plot of each story inside of the book. They all have good morals and messages like being afraid is okay from the High Dive story. Something I didn't enjoy that much however was the characters development along with the pictures. Each picture could only show so much per page but the narrative part of the book seemed to move too rapidly. One of the best examples of this would be the Jumping Bean scene where she is running around collecting them even though the picture is just of her releasing them. ( )

The George and Martha stories are just FUNNY. They're great early chapter books, and my nieces love them, and that's pretty much all I ask for. ( )

I would talk to the children about friendship. I would talk to them on how they should be honest at all times to their friends. ( )

This book is a collection of 5 mini stories. They are short and funny. Some of them have a moral to tell. George and Martha are good friends and they do almost everything together. This book would be good to read to younger students but would entice older students because of the randomness of the mini stories.
