Originally published in 1928, this is the book that began Napoleon Hill's self-help odyssey. Hill queried dozens of people about the keys to their prosperity and organized his findings into 16 principles. Each principle marks a chapter of this book, forming a methodology for employing untapped 'mind-power' that leads to success. Hill was well known for researching what made millionaires different from the common man. The sixteen lessons in this book perfectly crystallize everything you will need to know to succeed during these hard economic times. Many of today's best known self-help books take their core concepts form this book. 'The Secret', 'The Power of Positive Thinking', 'The Millionaire Next Door', and 'The Law of Attraction' all take their basic premises from this landmark work. Once you've read this book you will understand what gives certain people an edge over everyone else. By following the advice laid out clearly herein you'll be the one with an edge. Napoleon Hill definitely knew something only rare people knew back then, and that‘s the truest secret behind Andrew Carnegie‘s success which he was told by Mr. Andrew Carnegie himself, supposedly during the time of their famous interview. And then for some reason, he decided to share that secret which he was told by Mr. Carnegie, with millions of people all over the world, and thus Think and Grow Rich was born and sold into millions of copies and translated into variety of different languages. But this book‘s nowhere near Think and Grow Rich's magic. It does not offer as much as Think and Grow Rich does and fails to bring that magic to its avid reader, Think and Grow Rich brings to its avid reader. So I could not really get that much into it, as I really wanted to. However, this book does offer some truly valuable advice within all the sixteen lessons of success mentioned within it, so it definitely comes highly recommendable from me and probably everybody else who has read it. Most definitely. :) ( )

This book is a longer version of Napoleon Hill's bestseller 'Think and Grow Rich' or rather 'TAGR' is a condensed version.

This book is very long winded. ( )

I read this book more than a decade ago. An excellent book written after years of hard work. This is not a motivation or inspirational book, but a book on fact. If you wish to know why some people succeed, this is the best book ever written on the subject. Let me however warn that this book is quite long (more than 500 pages) and dull. Nevertheless, if you are a serious reader seeking success in life, this book is not to be missed. ( )
