Photography-rich reference book for animal lovers of all ages. Summary: This book helps a child know how to track an animal. This help a child know animals’ foot prints apart. All animals have a certain number of toes or run/walk a certain way. This book will explain to the children exactly how to track an animal and exactly what are the signs to tell them apart. My son would find this book very interesting because he is always trying to figure out what our dogs foot prints are. He will follow them right up to our dog and say “wow it’s a dog!” I believe that most kids would enjoy it also. Personal: I grew up in the country on an actual farm. My parents grew all vegetables themselves and we had our own goats milk. When I say a farm it was a full farm. Well I used to be able to know the difference between bobcat and a cats foot prints are but now I couldn’t tell you anything. My kids are raised in town so I believe that my kids could take this book to my dad’s house and they would enjoy this more than anything. This book brings back memories of my childhood. I like that. Classroom: 1. we could go outside one day and look at some animal tracks and try to compare and say what they are. 2. We could make our own foot prints. We could use paint and paper and make foot prints. They could then tell the difference between humans and animals. This book teaches you how to track animals in the wild. It has mammals, birds, reptiles & amphibians, and even bugs. A lot of the tracking methods include the animals's prints, dung, and signs of their meals. I learned a lot when I read this book. I'd always take it with me on camping trips if I owned it. For the bugs section, it just shows you what the bugs look like, some of their tracks, and signs of their nests. It also has the animals's footprints life size on most of the pages. I really liked this book. I love reading about animals. I liked how the animals's footprints was shown on the pages life size. It gave me an idea of how big the animal was. I especially liked the bugs section because it showed me some bug tracking methods that I didn't know existed. For the birds's section, it showed you how some of the eggs looked in case you ever came across any. There was alot of information in this book, and I'm glad a learned about all of it. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
