Mx memorized this book and it was the first one he "read" verbatim, but both loved it/ This was our first "Marcello" book This is a very fun read. The beginning of the book has explanations of Australian words that will be used in the book. It also has pictures of items that each character is wearing and that character's names next to it. That is probably very helpful and also a good tool to help readers associate the items with their characters and help differentiate the wombats, since they all look similar. It begins with six wombats going on a walkabout and as they walk along, each wombat stops and is distracted by something. As each wombat leaves, we count how many are left all the way until there are only two. A dingo has their friends and they make a plan to stop him and get their friends back. The illustration is very cute. There is very good counting and rhyming for students to understand. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
Rhyming text follows six little wombats on walkabout and a hungry dingo following, envisioning them as his lunch until the wombats turn the tables on him. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
