(  ) fromjesstoyou | Jan 28, 2019 | Gena Showalter has long been one of my favorite authors, ever since I picked up the first book in her Lords series, I have been hooked on anything this women writes. This book is no exception. The plot is amazing, with twists, turns, old fashioned malevolence, violence with a spatula, booze, sex, and some self sacrifice. It doesn't get anymore perfect. The characters are strong and vibrant, they stay with you after you have finished the story. The sensuality in this story is pretty top notch too, kept me warm through the snow storm this past Saturday ;) I already have the next book in this series on the way to me. I can't wait to read it. The book is pretty expensive at the moment since it is out of print, so I didn't post a link, you can prob get the ebook on eharlequin.com or it is due to reprint Jan 2011. I had such hopes for this book. *sigh* I mean it was good .... but around chapter 19 or so I was getting sick of Katie, who kept running away from her feelings just because she never believed what he said.
